Tomini signs agreement with CSI China for nine newbuildings

Tomini has increased its commitment to dry cargo and continued its fleet expansion with the placement of new orders for Ultramax bulk carriers from CSI shipyard in China.

The first of Tomini’s Ultramax bulk carriers from CSI will be delivered in the middle of 2015.   The 64,000 dwt vessels are designed to meet the highest standards for fuel efficiency and environmental compliance.

Imtiaz Shaikh, Chairman of Tomini Group, stated:   “We are delighted to be adding to our fleet and committing to the newbuilding sector with ships that are modern, efficient and well-suited to the demand profile that we see emerging in the bulker sector.”
